Season 4 note: Lightning Javazon retains her extremely high single-target damage output in season 4, and her AoE DPS is now higher than ever. If you are looking for a character that is fully capable of soloing every boss while not being underpowered when fighting against packs of strong enemies, look no further than this one. The main strong point of this (and all the others, to be honest) Javazon Build is its incredibly high single-target damage output. Despite the nerfs, however, Javazons are not dead on the contrary - with some changes to the original builds, they still thrive in Project Diablo 2, especially after some of the skills were re-buffed in seasons 3 and 4! Sadly, the changes made in early seasons of PD2 included some severe nerfs to Amazon's Javelin and Spear Skill tree (Lightning Fury was nerfed to the ground, most notably note: It was buffed in subsequent seasons, yay), which has made the "classic" Javazon builds somewhat obsolete at the start. I want to know what you all think.Javazon builds were a true staple of the original Diablo 2. Other RWs and shields have received significant buffs, but are less similar to the original Spirit RW, so I left them out of this comparison. As a result, many people believe this is the BIS for former Spirit RW users. The benefit LW brings is the +2 to all skills modifier, which Spirit can no longer roll. Lidless Wall has comparable stats to both of the above RWs, but lacks both the MF and resistances. Spirit still benefits from resistance Splendor lacks however, Splendor has MF, and can be slotted in lower STR req, earlier game shields. To start with, the Splendor RW is an immediate competitor, with strong mana regen instead of flat mana. Due to nerfs, many comparable options are available. The Spirit RW was once an unquestionable end-game option that outstripped unique, rare, and other RW shields of a similar class. This thread is here to analyze and discuss the once glorious Spirit RW shield, and its Project D2 competitors.
